More Thots:
There are imposters everywhere (including here, of course.)
A certain number of 3D doctors never went to medical school. A certain number of 3D friends turn out to be fair weather ones. A certain number of 3D acquaintances change drastically over time, it seems--or at least they manifest certain aspects of their personalities, or "selves" than they did earlier.
I've told the story on SI about a very nice guy, to all appearances (appearance, facial expression, mutual acquaintances, respectable job. Smell, presumably, though she's never mentioned it) whom my sister knew, who invited her for coffee at his apartment one afternoon. She was out walking her dog, Cindy, when she accepted his invitation. When he made an aggressive sexual overture in which she wasn't interested, she attempted to leave, a departure complicated by Cindy.
This 3D gentleman grabbed my sister's scarf, a very special handwoven one he knew she loved, and threatened to bake it in the oven if she wouldn't have sex with him.
Edit:
Solon, I've never met you in 3D, but how do I know that you've never threatened to bake a lady's scarf?
I just do. |
