Is this what you are referring to...." 1983- Lebanese Phalange Massacre at Sabra and Shatila. On September 16th, Lebanese Christian troops entered the refugee camps of Sabra and Shatilla. There, they opened fire on Palestinian civilians killing hundreds. The Israelis were not directly involved in the massacres. But their presence nearby and their tactical control of the area resulted in sharp criticism of the Israeli Army at home and abroad. An Israeli commission of inquiry laid the blame on a number of Israelis, including Israeli Defense Minister Ariel Sharon. multied.com I did read through that report you provided and it appeared to me that the Jews were trying/hoping to save themselves by convincing the nazi's that they should be evacuated to the palestinian territories. Didn't work out that way though. Wonder if they thought they were on their way to a new land instead of concentration camps?
