Hawk, If you think we are entering a worldwide depression, why don't you get out now? Or sell index futures? Better yet, if you think the markets may or may not drop at some unspecified time over the next year, buy a put option on the index most similar to your portfolio. Don't just stand there watching your capital wither away - do something! -g
