you have to realize that few people will ever come out of the closet when they've been scammed. quite the contrary....you'll here people coming out stating "they sold" or yes, "i'm hedged with gold shares, yup, have been for at least a year now..."

talk is cheap, people say one thing and pretty much do the opposite. that is why your honesty is so refreshing.

i was chatting with a broker friend of mine a couple of months ago and he told me the most discouraging thing he was dealing with was the fact that he still had a very high percentage of clients who absolutely refused to sell stock and have ridden them all the way down..yet at the same time they quit buying...people are just loathe to recognize in real terms a loss.

you've heard the saying, "you don't lose until you sell"...

anecdotal evidence to be sure, but it certainly doesn't bode well for the bulls if this is a common situation with a majority of small investors.
