In 1929, a year I know fairly well, US GDP was about $12 million. A lot has changed since then, hasn't it?

Even in billions instead of millions, this seemed far enough off that I checked the BEA web site. It would seem to be closer to the $100 billion range for that epoch.

But there's no arguing the incredible, real economic progress since then.
