Shame on you Cary, So internnment of Japanese americans was ok during the war. That was not evil. Disregarding the cries of European Jewry is another accomplishment of the FDR admin. Were you for that too?? Wasnt Truman the guy who dropped the ABomb? But Bush and Ashcroft are "evil". Why wont you even address the above three points? Folks make policy in the time frames they live. I am not happy about the above acts by Democrats but i understand them in context. But you present day liberals are hopelessly reactionary. FDR/Social security was an absolute neccessity and reactionary republicans opposed those and other reforms. Its different times now. I agree with you on private accounts but i disagree that Social Security admin cant invest in the market for its beneficiaries much like state pension funds do. Yes money would have been lost in this bear but overtime the big state pension funds have done OK at least in NY they have. And as far as Saddam and bin laden and giving the palestine arabs the boot i find the whole of your beliefs illogical as Mr. Spock would say. Mike
