Thanks, Glad to be aboard this one. Here is another story from the trenches on the western front: Friend of my daughter's mother tried to buy some Tomagotchis to give as party favors and she spent 2 hours (!) on the phone trying to find a place where she could buy them. She ended up buying the last 5 in the county at FAO Schwartz. There is a feeding frenzy here. They say at the Bandai website that they are making them as fast as they can.

I wonder if there are any knockoffs being produced. There is no company name on either of the two packages my kid has. I wonder if the name Bandai is sufficiently associated in the public mind with Tomagotchi. The Mattel press release says that they are made by a "Tiger" Electronics company. Which turned out to be a blind alley chase for me.

I think that the absence of company identification is the only reason the stock hasn't skyrocketed yet. What is your take on this? I know it took me at least 2 four hour sessions on the net before I could finally connect with you and the company website. I was search for the name of the company and I thought the toy was spelled Tomaguchi. Thots? Do you know anyone at the company?
