cary, I agree with that post on all three points. The point is though that bad things happened on Roosevelts watch too. FDR is a hero of mine because of how he handled himself in getting us into and thru the war. I agree on your assessment of Truman too. But Bush being evil is just too simplistic. You ahould say, "any politician who disagrees with me or agrees with Bush is evil" Thats what Repulican reactionaries thought of FDR and his supporters. You guys are just doing the opposite. If Bush was opposed to war with iraq, you would be for it. Read Clinton and Daschle in 1998 calling for war. What did you say then? mike
