One decent program on NPR is All Things Considered. They often cover little known stories. As long as they aren't political in nature, they are usually entertaining and present snippets of genuine American culture.

We probably shouldn't say anything that can be construed as positive on gold until at least $340. Wouldn't want our rebels shooting off their only round for the day in celebration ahead of a battle.
