I personally do remember the terror attacks on my home town by allied bombers though. We didn't have the media frenzy afterwards [hardly any media then] and moved in with grandma in the suburbs. The damage was comparable and threats of future attacks remained. One difference between Hitler and Saddam is that the latter has not invaded any countries lately. All I read is what he 'could' do if he obtains nuclear materials. The holocaust is in a category of its own and I won't go there. For several years after I emigrated to Canada I thought I had to apologize for it. Loss of personal freedoms starts small.
