It is simply an "idiotic know-nothing-about-football" statement to say.....

<<adding Glenn to your roster makes the Packers a lesser team, period.>>

Glenn obviously makes the Packers much better in many ways.

He has already paid great dividends by working with the young receivers during mini-camp and training-camp. The young receivers (Driver and Walker) are well beyond where anyone thought they would be at this stage and word out of the Packers camp is that Glenn has had much to do with this. The youngsters watch, listen, and learn when Favre says that Glenn always makes the right reads and adjustments coming off the line of scrimmage. If Glenn doesn't make one TD catch this season but the other receivers are that much better because of his being there.....well, that alone makes the Packers a better team.

The WR position was a real weakness for the Packers last year. Half of Favre's INT's last year were because of WR blunders. Any improvement (which is already evident) is a upgrade for the team and makes them better.

Team chemistry is always stressed by Coach/GM Mike Sherman. Does anyone really think that someone as smart as Sherman would do anything to hurt the Packers in any way. He did his homework on this one and wouldn't have brought Glenn in without knowing what he was getting.
