I am reminded of when the Bulls brought in Dennis Rodman. They had an experienced coach who stressed team chemistry. They had experienced leadership on the court who could reign in the excesses of the talented Rodman when necessary.

During one of those three championship runs with Rodman, there was a game the Bulls absolutely had to have. A call went against Rodman, then Rodman got bumped and dissed on the way back up the court by an opponent. You could just see him start to snap. Jordan and Pippen, the two star leaders of the team, both ran over and physically surrounded Rodman. One of them mouthed the words "we need you" and they escorted him to Phil Jackson before he could do something stupid.

It was a sideshow, certainly, but Rodman was an enormously talented player, perhaps the best rebounder in the history of the game. And they kept his head in the game enough that they were able to win. Without him to go get the ball, they likely would not have won.

Great teams with great coaches and great leadership can absorb and make use of a Terry Glenn a lot more effectively than up and coming teams with no clear leadership established. I think he'll do just fine in Green Bay.
