If I've given you, or anyone, the impression that I question your patriotism, I sincerely apologize. That was NOT my intention. On top of that, I have never questioned your allegiance to this country, which I believe is eminently clear from the body of your posting history.
I was confused and concerned, however, by the post we've been discussing, one which was made last night. After rereading your reply to me this afternoon, as well as your reply to GZ,I'm choosing to interpret it that my conclusion was mistaken, that you were not advocating violence in any form.
All this said, I realize that the entire nation is grieving and mourning, each person in his or her own way, and that emotions are running high. I'm going to make an even greater effort at clarity in my political posts at this time, something which I think would serve us all well to consider.
I won't be online tomorrow, BTW. I'll be doing my own version of sitting shiva, with the tv, radio, and computer turned off. I wish you, and everyone here, peace. |
