Lizzie... Has nada to do with BEAS. I apologize to those who feel this is better posted elsewhere. As you know (I think you know) I'm still bearish about the market, and tech in particular, bottom not in place yet, but tech will lead my portfolio once I decide to commit cash. As to what this says, seems to confirm my notion that while companies may see themselves as bargains (thus buying back their own stock) they don't see others that way...therefore little consolidation as yet. Just a follow-up to our earlier conversation. Again, I did appreciate your remarks about enterprise software. As for intc and jdsu, I think both will be available lower than where we are now. I will be pouncing on JDSU at $1.75 and lower. By 2005, $30 would not be unreasonable. Chaz
