Harris makes antennas all right - but not satellite antennas. They all seem to be RF and VHF based antennas. Perhaps they get them from somewhere else?

Regarding satellite radio, the satellite is not received directly to your car. It comes into ground antenna stations with ground based repeaters around urban areas. You won't really get reception in remote areas or off the coasts.

Besides, IMO, satellite radio is something that will soon merge with satellite TV and Internet. Why would people pay separately for satellite radio, and satellite TV, and again for Internet?

The difference is in the antenna and the infrastructure.

If you establish a large (and expensive to build/maintain) ground based infrastructure, you can use small antennas.

If, however, you receive the satellite signal DIRECTLY to your boat, RV, auto, etc., you need a larger gain antenna. KVH's offerings through Bell ExpressVu include 300 channels of DVB TV and also full-blown Internet. It should be easy to also receive radio signals as technology advances.
