AQ is the enemy. The US should take action against AQ. The US has been unable to destroy AQ.

AQ is the symptom, ZP. The problem is the Islamist Culture that breeds and supports it. You want to cut out the visable Cancer. Others believe that it needs radical surgery. You may be right. We may be right.

I favor effective action wrt the ME. I favor action that will make a difference. Action that will not lead to chaos.

The action you prefer will kill the snakes that come out of the nest. I want to have us get rid of the nest.
