Shalom, Thanks. I've had a rough couple of weeks at work. Taking it too seriously I'm sure, but fighting with some folks over what I consider top be a very important issue: whether utility rates should recover the costs of service or be used as a means to redistribute income. Oh, that just a few government officials could simply do the jobs that they are paid to do instead of trying to re-engineer society. God's will will be done! I must learn to be patient. May 2 I was in my younger brother's wedding as best man. Remember I told you about my Dad not being very accepting of her because she had been divorced before. She died thursday night of an unexplicable illness, perhaps of a complication of allergies (she was only 30). Last time I was down there was the wedding. I had been meaning to visit them. Now I return for her funeral. It doesn't seem right to me. I'll leave early tommorrow to go see my brother. She had two wonderful children. While she was dying the eldest asked my brother if the papers for him to have custody had went through. He didn't want to go back to living with his biological father. What can I say, I hurt inside for everyone -- my brother is angry with the doctors saying that they misdiagnosed her. Sorry I haven't dropped in here and sorry just to unload like this. I would appreciate your prayers this week and next. I want to show my brother the love of Jesus and point him in that direction this weekend. I consider my own marriage and know that chances are one of us will go first and that will be hard, but mercy -- he only had less than two months with this girl and he spent two weeks of that with her in the hospital.
