On July 17, VION issued a press release stating that the company has until October 1 to get its stock price up to $1/share and keep it there for 10 consecutive trading days, or it will be delisted from Nasdaq. It looked for a while like somebody was desperately trying to bid up the stock because it was pressing strongly upward in the face of a declining market. If that's the case, that somebody must have blown a lot of cash (relative to the size of the company). Doesn't look likely that they'll succeed.

Is there any chance, given the near certainty of delisting, that VION will still find enough funding to survive until some semblance of profitability? I would hazard a guess that if they do manage to find this funding, it will be in the form of a loan with onerous, usurious terms.
