Stalin clearly was thwarting the intent of Marx's Dictatorship of the Proletariat. No wonder he had to "purge" upwards to 35 million people. Yet, America saw fit to ally themselves with this guy - possibly a worse murderer than Hitler. "Politics makes strange bedfellows" doesn't even come close to touching the irony of this situation.
