Based on the type of photography you seem to enjoy, I can understand why you're not crazy about the 995. Suits me better as I lean more towards compositions, but the owner's manual is a nightmare, and there's nothing intuitive about the 995. On the other hand, as a newbie photo-hobbyist, it's forced me to think through every manual setting, so it's been a great tutorial.
