OT: It is SO WRONG of me to post this Off Topic post, but I need the answer in a hurry for a writer I know, and this thread is the most populated! Please excuse the intrusion. Does anyone know whether it is possible to ride a horse bareback, and without any reins? Do people do that? The writer is reviewing a book in which that is routinely done by one of the book's characters. No indication is given of how the horse is controlled. Anybody know about horses?
