The first terrorist attack resulted in the destruction of the Taliban in Afghanistan. A second attack will cause carpet bombing, or worse, of places the Al Qaida are reputed to be hiding, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, other Middle East countries. The rest of the world understands this. RE: "You are naive to think the world will provide a future outside of Palestine and Gaza." Similarly, a succesful detonation of a 1300 pound car bomb in Israel will cause the Israeli army to turn Gaza and most of the West Bank citiies into Jenin refugee camps. I think the Palestinians and the Arab countries are coming around to an understanding of this. Unfortunatley, they are stuck with the problem of surrender now or surrender later. I am calling for the world to offer something that looks like less of a surrender. It is always possible that the Palestinians will surrender and begin a generation long process of living peacefully and building a society that Israel will be willing to share a bed with.
