RMBS - Others here disagree - but this is my take:
I still say RMBS was screwed by the industry (primarily by MU) but there were no victors.

VHS vs Beta
Does the best always win?
Does the best even usually win?
Enquiring minds want to know.

ORCL was the WORST of the SQL engines at the time but adopted a marketing strategy of what runs on the mainframe will run on the PC.
They won the war with a marketing ploy that was not delivered for years and years if ever!

RMBS did not forge alliances and instead fought most everybody. Sad to say it was a lose/lose situation, especially for the two biggest combattants (MU and RMBS).

Couldn't this easily have been WIN/WIN instead?
Somewhere along the ride I am sure both sides were morons.

Niche players are not the road to dreams, not in this market.
A lawsuit win with rights to DDR may easily determine this companies future, and possibly even survival, in spite of what is (to me anyway) obviously a better product.

Unfortunately, no one (including INTC) asked me.
Beta went into the ashcan.
Without a legal victory, RMBS could easily go the same road.
This saddens me cause I think RMBS was taken as well as screwed in the US courts. The winner (MU), won the equivalent of maggot infested dead rats. That's what happens in these "gorilla" games.
