Details of Lehman Semi Equipment call
As reported at 07:43, Lehman is reducing its growth forecast for 2003 Semiconductor Equipment revenues. Firm cuts forecast to approx. 10% from roughly 27% after recent data points suggest that equipment fundamentals have eroded faster and further than most companies previously anticipated. Lehman believes Q3 orders could fall below guidance and that timing of the recovery remains elusive. Sees chip makers likely setting conservative capital budgets for 2003.
