yeah, but a government job is still a job; in fact when you include the bennies its probably a lot better than the incremental jobs WalMart is creating.

plus, i keep seeing the 22k (or whatever the number was) was gov't airport security personel, so people dismiss it as bull-sh8t non-recurring. but weren't there 22k non-government security personel working before the Feds took over, who presumably were eliminated from payrolls in the month. i.e. net-net no change.

look, i am not arguing that the employment picture is rosy, as it is not. and looking FORWARD it is getting worse; every day there's another company laying off a bunch of folks (for example today we have Power One laying off 27% of 2500 workers). that said i think the bears have overly parsed the last employment report, finding negatives that really aren't there.
