We no longer have the world sympathy we had at that time. Or do you think we do?

I think that this is more than a little unrealistic.

It was inevitable that world sympathy towards the US would fall. Look at the situation after the Gulf War....how long did the gratitude from Kuwait last? The situation was the same after WWII and the Korean war.

The only way the US would have been able to sustain world opinion on their side is if we saw another attack....I think I'll take the current situation.
