What is not reasonable, is to permit within your borders armed troops of the planetary hegemon ... under any pretext whatsoever ..... this is what your military is supposed to be guarding you from, for chrissakes I'm not saying that Canada should fell under any obligation to go for this particular proposal (allowing Americans to patrol the border from the Canadian side). I can understand why they would have reservations about the idea. But you don't limit your comments to this particular proposal. Its as if you thought any American military in Canada would quickly mean the end of Canadian sovereignty. America doesn't want to invade Canada, besides if it did want to it wouldn't make much difference if some Americans where already in Canada before the invasion. If you really think that America is a big threat and the Canadian military is the only thing that can slow down or stop this threat I suggest you lobby for increasing the Canadian military budget to 20 times its current level and instituting a draft.
