From briefing.com: 6:38PM Advanced Micro delays Hammer launch: WSJ (AMD) 7.64 -0.63: The Wall St Journal is reporting that the launch of AMD's Hammer chip will be delayed until Q2 from Q1; the Hammer is AMD's entry into the 64-bit server market, and has been seen as having an advantage over Intel's (INTC) Itanium as the Hammer has backwards-compatability with 32-bit programs; news could be seen as positive for INTC as a result.
