I wish I had seen your post 10 minutes ago... I just caught the tail end of the interview with Ritter (when O'Reilly asked him about the $400,000)

As for inspectors "spying" for the US, so far as I'm concerned Iraq LOST THE WAR. That means we (the US as a proxy for the UN) have THE RIGHT to see anything we need to see that has military significance. This is ESPECIALLY the case when the US has borne the brunt of "containing" Saddam's ambitions.

If that's "spying", then so be it.

You can bet that other non-US inspectors were intensely "debriefed" by their own intelligence agencies.

You can't really "spy" on a nation that has nothing to hide.
