some of these people would rather own "anything but a boxmaker" than own a $25 stock. The problem as I see it is core competancy. You can go on and on about this using Sunw vs. dell to no avail. But assuming intel is the #1 chipmaker, msft the #1 software maker and Dell the #1 manufacturer/builder, this is a winning combination of #1's. What is Sunw #1 in, thats what they should focus on. That is servers I believe. All the other also-ran stuff should go, this is MBA 101! Like iplanet, hows that going... is it gaining mkt share? no. (believe me, I know this story I worked with some of the founders of one of sun's middleware software acquisitions- a total waste). L
