Discounters to stay away from: NDB, Kennedy Cabot.

I have used Schwab for the last month, and have been very happy
with it though I too had a bad experience Tuesday -- I tried to
place a trade 15 minutes before the market closed, and both the
StreetSmart system and the live broker system were inaccessible
during that time, leaving me out of the market and out of substantial
profit the next day. I am thinking about e.Schwab, but the stories
of it being down, with no other trading venue available, scares me.
What are the big restrictions placed on e.Schwab customers?
Have the executions been as fast as their Telebroker executions
(which are executed within seconds)? Any other problems with down
time?
