"this CASH FLOW IN from option redemptions was sufficient to cover Intel's R&D expense...
Why did you forget to mention this CASH FLOW IN effect Alice? Stupidity?"

I forgot only how much of undone un-R&D was NOT covered
by much bigger CASH FLOW OUT due to stock buybacks.
With stock steady growing, you always pay more than you
get back. I remember Intel management cashing out hundreds
of thousands stock options
at $3.50 strike while selling them for $40-$50, yet the
company bought them back, at about the same market price.
EFFECTIVELY they were buying back from their
own managers... It is your smart understanding of economy?

It is like the American mass mentality - more you buy,
more you save... Are you in?
