Just checking in here. >>about September/October to 32.<<. Wow, I do admire your courage!-g- Actually I'm really looking at my investement style and trying to identify the quirks that stand in my way of maximizing profits.
I am personally horified by this market. Then I come up against someone like yourself who feels he has a "safe haven" in a stock whos company is growing at 11%, and has a PE in the high 25s! But we've been through all this.-g- I think it helps you to have a big gain to date in this stock. But aren't there other opportunities that at this point seem much more attractive than WMT? By your own admission 40 would be a brick wall to this stock. The first real "stopping point" in a correction is 28!(there are alot of shares in this area). I don't much care for that risk reward senario! Maybee you are thinking long term?
I closed my short on WMT on Fri., I had somewhere else I wanted to put the cash, and I have a rather large put position still in WMT. I think the action at the close on WMT looked pretty bearish(but I havent followed the stock long enough to really have a feel for it.) The MM has been working his tail off to build a "wall" at 35, I'm guessing he'll have his work cut out for him come Monday morning!

Have a great weekend

Mark
