You don't need them there. We have troops in Northern Iraq, and lots of translators available to help us interview the Al Queda. What we should have done by now is interviewed them, taken them as our prisoners if needed, and been on top of the issue.

Tenet "Made his Bones" after 9/11 by telling Bush that he had good knowledge of the Northern Alliance types, and CIA troops in there to start the war off. I turned out that he was BS'ng about the CIA knowledge of the area, and the CIA types were flying in and out to make sure they didn't have to overnite with the people there. The first four weeks of our Bombing did little good until we finally got A Teams in there, and Air Force SF types to help call in the bombers.

The more I read about our intelligence activity, the more pissed off I get.
