G and thread,
Am shutting down at 4pm today and wont be back online until tuesday after Yom Kippur. Wish all my friends (and enemies too) here a Happy New Year. I leave you all with one question. What if UN gives iraq ultimatum regarding inspections? What should the consequences be if they reject the UN? Maybe thats the most important question that we have all missed. Political debate is a good thing. This hatred of the opponent evident on the right by folks like Limbaugh(vis a vis clinton) and on the left by Cary(vis a vis bush) is most distressing. Bush aint my favorite guy either but I said to Gottfried earlier that his wife impresses me greatly. I am convinced she is a wonderful human being. She picked him. He cant be as bad as cary, bwac and jerome make him out to be. Attacking the agenda is OK but the personal attacks are just horrible. Both sides of american politics have to come to terms with the fact that there is a 50/50 ideological split between democrats and republicans in every national election and in congress. Mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters are on different sides of the divide. It is not bad to be a liberal and it is not bad to be a conservative and it is not bad to be in the middle. We can debate without the hate. Keep hope allve! Mike
