When I made the above statement I did indeed make an assumption that most Americans were fair-minded and would want to hear all the evidence before making their own judgements about Elgindy's guilt or innocence. Yet, you're critical of me for making this very mild statement.

What's the alternative? To believe that most Americans think he is either utterly innocent or utterly guilty without wanting to hear any evidence at all?

You sure have a low opinion of us. Maybe the axe I hear grinding is yours.

I have from the beginning been extremely critical of Elgindy (and the gang) in their callous and overly heavy-handed tactics on some of these message boards when bashing a stock they are short-trading and moreover the claim that they are doing it for purely altruistic reasons. I haven't altered my views on this. If you guys are taking issue with me on this, then fair enough.

In matters pertaining to his incarceration I have been scrupulously fair to him. I have said repeatedly that we should wait to see the evidence. I agreed with Mary early on that the prosecutor was remiss to make a connection between Elgindy and 911.

I believe my views have been consistent. If some of you think I have ameliorated my views perhaps it is because they are reading my posts a little more carefully.
