It'll be interesting to see how the Tandem group fares at HPQ. As I understand it, they were in the process of converting over to the Alpha after being bought by Compaq; now, one merger later, they've apparently changed direction and will attempt an Itanium implementation. That kind of switching has to be tough on the economics and, ultimately, the customers.
