My eyes = my illusions! Bush didn't look more than twenty degrees below his horizon, so those screens on the side are irrelevant! So, now you come up with a possible teleprompter in the camera. But he doesn't look at the camera either! Actually he looks at people! Numerous people, and with concentration. And, had you noticed, not the same ones, he is very selective, remembers where his eyes were before. (Something quite hard to achieve, had you ever been on that side too.) Thus your next move is to suggest he probably hears voices, the Joan of Arc bit, the invisible earphone. Next he may have a chip implanted in his brain... It just doesn't strike you that the he didn't need support. That the cowboy has turned into a first class public speaker. Try to beat the oil driller in front of any mirror, with any of your writings, and without half the world watching you...
