I continue to find your argumentation style so very interesting. I don't recall ever seeing anyone else employ it quite as you do. Perhaps in the other venues of your life, your office and your family, you can just make assertions with an air of authority and everyone else either shuts up or says amen. Is that how it works? I can imagine that you are the lord of both castles and that everyone might defer. But does it work in any other venue? Has it always worked for you? I recognize that sometimes it works here, too, over time at least--the wearing down factor and all that. Did you learn that style from someone or did you develop it yourself? Do you think that other people, those who feel obligated to provide some kind of rationale or supporting facts, some give and take, to both listen and persuade, are chumps or do you value what they offer?
