Vargas is an old 24, JXM. I thought he looked as good as he possibly could last night. Vargas is a fantastic offensive fighter. I thought it possible that he could come back from the Trinidad KO and the knockdowns prior to last night's fight, but not anymore. DLH - Vargas was a brutal fight, and Vargas was severely hurt by two very good left hooks in the 10th and 11th rounds. He's now had two brutal late round KO defeats. Those kind of losses leave a heavy mark on a fighter.

Vargas may stick around and continue his career, but the evidence that his chin is permanently dented is unavoidable. LP and many others felt that way prior to last night's fight. I feel that way know. Anyway, I wouldn't want to see him get hurt in the ring as he is a very gallant fighter with a huge heart.
