Had an interesting chat yesterday with a young woman who is an aide to an Alabama US senator. We were wondering what Senator Robert Byrd (D.-W.Va.) is up to. He's been rambling on for hours, almost like a filibuster, but there are no votes pending. He's definitely wasting as much floor time as he can.

Seems to me to be a stealth filibuster.
