Let's assume the worst case, that he got to pocket the full $32K. That's a far cry from profiting $400K, which is what the accusers imply he did and what it seems like he did if you're not paying close attention. Do people in his situation betray their country for $32K? Not likely. Remember the guy was a warrior. Maybe for $400K. Maybe. If he betrayed his country in any way, still an "if," it most likely would have been for ideology, not money. Or perhaps to show up the people whose policies he found flawed. But not for money. The money, IMO, is most likely a red herring. |
