This is the kind of discussion I was hoping to see. The thread participants, myself included, have much better idea about the technology than the financial side of AMD's business.

Gresham was the event that caused me to get out of AMD. It is still unresolved AFAIK. I am concerned about Fujitsu being a basket case even by Japanese standards. Nobody seems to understand the consequences for AMD if FASL was to unravel.
