That ratio is meaningless.

They may have bought $3.6M worth of stock, but they didn't spend $3.6M doing it. They did it with options that allowed them to buy well below market price. Add up the actual dollars spent by insiders and report the total back to the thread.

All it indicates is that in August more stock options than usual happened to vest, due to grants made long ago.

How is correcting the deception in that article anything to do with an "agenda"? Are you long AMAT or other stocks and looking to vent anger at recent losses? Best to take a look in the morror and see if it is you that is being selective about the data you use to invest.
