The intelligence needed to stop 9/11 was available but not acted upon. Personally, I think we'd be better off fixing our intelligence operation than going off on some broad war and occupation thing in the mideast, at the behest of the neocons and the Israeli lobby. There's not much glory or political mileage in intelligence reform, though. Not many pompous moralists presenting an endless stream of false dichotomies and bogus analogies to promote it, either.

On the other hand, the next war has a big marketing campaign already underway. Good to see you doing your part as ever, Nadine.
