You are definitely mis-stating the facts here. US arms manufacturers sold arms to Iran and Iraq, as did arms manufacturers from other countries.

I did not mis-state the facts. The US sold arms to Iran and Iraq at the same time. You agree with that. What Germany did doesn't change that fact.

I am going to assume that your post is one of those late-night-one-too-many rants and that you'll come to your senses after you sleep it off.

Because right now your comments have little relevance to the present day, as far as I can see. The Iran-Iraq war was a long time ago

That's an interesting comment. If it happened so long ago, why does Bush bring it up. If Bush brings up that war, why can't I mention the US role in that war.

I think (trying to steer you towards making a point) that what set you off was the debate about whether the US government furnished Saddam with sarin gas.

Read that out loud and tell me that makes sense.

I made several points that you happened to totally ignore; including a direct question.
