I look at Gottscheer with the same eyes as my fellow Slovenians in Carinthia. Or Sorbs in East Germany. Would like to keep them all alive but have no means to.

In any case,it was a pleasure, Auntie. Especially so, because seems like you're stationed are North of 49 (west of continental divide?) - I have a tiny and a very dear share of Canadian past to show in my CV.
