Senator Clinton made this case yesterday on the Russert show and was very supportive of the Iraqi objective.

Sadly, the Bush manadarins failed to lead with this strategy and thereby spent months in confusing sound bites and unsubstantiated terror alerts.

The failure of the Bush Administration is a lack of understanding of the "process" and their continual focus on tossing out any strategy or position of the Clinton Administration. Their mantra of "Not-Invented-Here" hurt us all in their delay to focus on Bin-Laden and now in their failure to initiate citizenry, ally and U.N. support.

Catch up is a -itch.
Usisng foreign policy as a political tactic is dangerous and obvious.

I recall Bush saying that he wanted to concentrate on the people who could be fooled " some of the time". I think his luck has run out. Unfortunately for him (according to the polls in the post I previously linked)
those pesky "people who can't be fooled all of the time" seem to be on to him.
