him separate and apart (both :-))--rather than ride the momentum and zeal of
other posters.

Well, IMO you failed to make that distinction. You were just one more of the pack.

But if it makes you feel more noble to think that you somehow separated yourself out, feel free. I wouldn't want to crush your self-delusion if it's that important to you.
