answer me this: are you seeing more insider buying or selling at AMAT over the last year. Better question: Has there EVER been any insider buying at AMAT? That's a valid question. Why would an insider BUY when they can get it for FREE?

More buying or selling? There will ALWAYS be more selling in almost all circumstances I'd say, since options are compensation and financial planners are always after insiders to diversify... and those that didn't recently got kindof wiped out, did they not?

On the amat thread we were discussing the semi sector in general, and there has been a ton of insider buying. There is insider buying across many sectors, not just chips. Why spin it to be anything different than it is, bullish? It doesn't mean the stocks will go up, of course, look at Bill Joy's sunw purchase where he will likely lose 2mm$. Taking obvious signals like insider buying and trying to spin them in some contrarian fashion to make a bearish point, now, after a 3 year bear mkt in tech, seems a little bullheaded.... jmo
